“You can call it sustainable fashion,
circular economy,
or what you want,
but it’s the force that keeps us going”

Using sustainable options in our material sourcing and supporting respectful and fair working environments is the key to feeling good about playing in the field of fashion. Natural and recycled textiles are a yes, and fast fashion with it’s long and crazy complicated outsourcing methods is a no.

We avoid making waste in our clothing production, and we go out of our way to use even the smallest of scrap pieces that are naturally left over from cutting the pattern pieces from the fabrics. You can call it sustainable fashion, circular economy, or what you want, but it’s the force that keeps us going strong and feeling good!

Here’s a list of the main materials used in our production.

Digitally printed
organic cotton knit.

The medium weight 100% organic cotton is soft to touch and easy to wear. It's what we use in the Unity shirts and dresses. Because of the digital inkjet process, there is very little color waste and no water consumption happening in the printing. The image is designed by us and printed in NC, USA.

Digitally printed
eco canvas.

This super durable eco canvas is made of polyester with 45% recycled content.  It's a really sturdy material that shows the printed image crispy clear - a good match with the denim, in making meditation pillows! The digital inkjet process means there is very little color waste and no water is consumed in the printing. The image is designed by us and printed in NC, USA.

Organic cotton interlock.

This medium weight cotton interlock knit is 100% organic cotton. It's super soft and comfy, and really high quality - it's what we use in the back pieces and trimmings of the Unity shirts, and sleeves of our long sleeve shirts. It has a wonderful drape, and feels amazing on your skin.

Organic Flax Seeds.

Flax seeds are hip and cool, right?! They can help us in many ways, and for us they’re perfect for giving our Eye Pillows the lovely weight that makes one want to stay still. They are odorless (so that you can enjoy the smell of lavender), and organically grown, of course!

Mixed cotton scraps.

Ever wondered what makes the Unity Meditation Pillows so heavy and sturdy? Well, all the little pieces that get left over from cutting the patterns for pants and shirts, end up inside the meditation pillows! Also some of our crafty friends are kind enough to donate their scraps from different sewing (mostly quilting) projects. It’s a win-win, and we couldn’t be more proud of it!

Organic Cotton Light Jersey

This fabric is the perfect choice for our Contra Circle Skirt. It’s soft and has a nice drape and flow, and is made in USA.

Organic Lavender Buds.

These little buddies are known to help a restless mind relax and calm down. They are tiny and beautiful, and organically grown. We put them inside our Eye Pillows, to give a nice fragrance while you take a rest that you deserve!

Digitally printed
organic cotton sateen.

The 100% organic cotton sateen is perfectly soft and sleek for us to use in the Lavender eye pillows. Because of the digital inkjet process, there is very little color waste and no water consumption happening in the printing. The image is designed by us and printed in NC, USA.

Organic cotton rib knit.

We use this fabric in the waistband and ankle pieces of the Balance pants, and in the trims of our long sleeve shirts. This soft and smooth 100% organic cotton is great because of it's very stretchy knit (is that why they sometimes call it baby rib?). It also comes in so many wonderful colors, and that’s close to our heart!

Carefully selected
second hand cotton t-shirts.

This is the main material used in our Balance pants. We go to a thrift store, choose the best monochrome cotton tees, wash and dry them, and cut them into pants pieces. This is time consuming, but it also makes the color designs unique and lets us work with wonderfully soft fabrics. Not to mention the amazing amounts of water and energy that we’re saving, by re-using this valuable material. Also, talk to any reseller and ask how much of this stuff they have to toss, just because there’s so much of it...

Carefully selected
second hand jeans.

It's how we get the denim for the meditation pillows! We go to a thrift store, choose the best blue denim jeans, wash and dry them, and cut them into pillow pieces. This is pretty time consuming, but it also gives us the chance to choose the most beautiful blue shades of cotton denim (we prefer the very light blue ones, and the very dark blue ones, since they go together well with our print designs).
